Mercedes-Benz unveils A-Class to Egyptian market at Automech Formula

In a move that confirms the start of the Egyptian economy's recovery and its steady trend towards stability, Mercedes-Benz Egypt was a strong participant at the Automech Formula Exhibition, which commenced today in Cairo and brought together major local and international automotive manufacturers and suppliers.

During the event, Mercedes displayed 12 models, with the new A-Class at the forefront, a new car that targets youth and is expected to revolutionize the automotive market.

Philip Hagenburger, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Egypt, stated, "Mercedes-Benz is committed to achieving a strong start in the Egyptian market in 2013 as part of our confidence in the Egyptian economy's ability to boom and make a comeback. Our decision to participate strongly in the Automech/Formula Exhibition came as a result of its status as one of the most important local and regional platforms that bring together the world's leading carmakers to support the automotive market in Egypt."

Zakaria Mackary, Director of Sales and Marketing at Mercedes-Benz Egypt, stated, "2012 witnessed Mercedes-Benz's success through the launch of new cars such as the GLK Facelift, the new B-Class and C-Coupe vehicles. These new models have been highly successful in the Egyptian market, demonstrating Mercedes-Benz's competitive ability and leadership in the local market."

Mackary added, "The secret behind the huge success that Mercedes-Benz enjoyed in the Egyptian market lies in its continuous study of the market, customer needs and providing classes that meet these needs. Out of these studies evolved the new A-Class, which meets the needs of a younger generation customer segment."

Mercedes-Benz displayed 12 different car models at the Automech Formula motorshow, including two B-Class cars, three C-Class and E-Class cars and two GLK cars. Additionally, Mercedes-Benz revealed the new A-Class, which is being offered for the first time in the Egyptian market in three designs, Style, Urban and AMG Sport to meet various tastes and needs.

During the Automech Formula exhibition, Mercedes-Benz Egypt also displayed a range of AMG Sports models, including the E350 AMG styling - shown for the first time in Egypt - as well as C350 AMG and GLK 350 AMG vehicles. AMG is a Mercedes-Benz company that specializes in modifying Mercedes-Benz cars that provide a unique sporting experience.
