Methodist International begins affiliation with new hospital in International Medical City in Salalah, Oman

Methodist International, the global subsidiary of The Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas, United States of America, has entered into an affiliation to provide services for the development and operations of the new acute tertiary care hospital in The Medical City (TMC) in Salalah, the Governorate of Dhofar, Sultanate of Oman.
Apex Medical Group is part of Al Joaib Holding, a major Saudi group with a diversified portfolio of businesses in Saudi Arabia, GCC and USA.
Al Joaib Holdings is a highly reputable name in the Middle East with deeply rooted knowledge in the business environment.
AMG and Al Joaib Holding are behind the $1bn International Medical City in Oman which is being developed on an 800,000 sqm site in Salalah. In addition to the new hospital, the facilities will also include a state-of-the-art diagnostic center, a health care resort and a health care education complex.
The Medical City will also feature a luxury hotel, wellness center, and will offer free medical and educational community support services to poor families.
Located east of Salalah, TMC healthcare complex will offer a comprehensive continuum of specialized medical and surgical services through its new large multispecialty acute tertiary care hospital.
Methodist International will be at the core of program management to coordinate development and implementation activities.
Methodist International will set up the management and operation system of the tertiary care hospital including the recruitment and training of hospital C-suite staff. Leadership development, clinical integration and medical management models will also be implemented.
A clinical and administrative team of consultants from Houston will focus on the development and establishment of exceptional and distinguishable clinical, operational and quality standards for the multispecialty hospital in Salalah.
Following the opening of the hospital, Methodist International will be involved in a 10-year affiliation focused on quality, training and knowledge transfer management.
