- PRESS RELEASE
In keeping with its mission to pursue excellence, the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai has partnered with Atul Kochhar, the first ever Indian chef to be awarded a Michelin star, to launch his first fine dining restaurant in the Middle East - Rang Mahal by Atul Kochhar.
Located on level 4 of the world's tallest dedicated hotel, Rang Mahal by Atul Kochhar is envisaged to become one of the finest luxury Indian dining experiences in the UAE. Presenting a unique dining concept that appeals to all epicureans - from fine dining connoisseurs to lovers of traditional Indian food - it will fuse modern flavours with traditional cooking methods to add another string to Dubai's gastronomic bow.
Modern in design yet set against classic features such as carved stone pillars and stunning wooden screens, the restaurant will be able to host up to 167 guests.
Authentic Indian murals and artifacts will adorn the walls to immerse guests in the authenticity and colour of the restaurant's native Rajasthan while the open plan glass kitchen will showcase the theatre of Indian cuisine as Atul and his team of expert chefs prepare food on the glowing hot tandoor and charcoal grills.
Known worldwide as one of the most critically acclaimed chefs for his take on modern Indian cuisine, Atul Kochhar uses fresh, seasonal produce in all his dishes to make his food as exciting and accessible as possible.
"Indian cooking has become a globally recognised and appreciated cuisine and so what better location to launch my latest venture than Dubai - an established culinary capital thanks to a hugely cosmopolitan population with adventurous taste buds," commented celebrated chef Kochhar.
"The JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai and I share the same ethos - to push boundaries in everything that we do - and is therefore the perfect home for Rang Mahal by Atul Kochhar," he added.
As well as offering an array of authentic Indian delights, the restaurant will also boast its own cocktail bar which will be illuminated and anchored by a communal table, perfect for large groups.
The experienced bartenders will offer guests a selection of sumptuous cocktails and international beverages from around the globe to tantalise their taste buds pre-dinner and compliment their food.
"We are delighted to partner with such an established and respected chef as Atul Kochhar and look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with him and the team. We are confident that our diverse selection of restaurants and entertainment lounges, coupled with the hotel's central location, stunning views, relaxing atmosphere and most importantly, impeccable attention to detail, will make the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai a destination in itself," said Rupprecht Queitsch, General Manager.
