Microsoft wins patent case in Germany against Motorola

Microsoft has won a patent case in Germany against Google's Motorola unit over technology for mobile devices, the Associated Press has reported. A Munich state court ruled that Motorola Mobility infringed a Microsoft patent covering the way mobile devices handle input commands from users. The ruling means Google will have to modify its Android operating system or pay Microsoft a license fee to use the technology in devices sold in Germany.
