Middle East's brightest students set to participate in the 3rd annual Intel Science Competition-Arab World 2012

Under the patronage of UNESCO, Intel Corporation announced that the third annual Intel Science Competition-Arab World (ISC-AW) will take place from December 16th - 19th in Dubai at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
In the presence of peers and educators that hailed from Egypt, Jordan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, UAE, and Tunisia, a total of 110 students will compete for $25,000 worth of prize money and valuable prizes sponsored by the UAE's Ministry of Education.
The ISC-AW 2012 will see a total of 69 projects presented over the course of the event across eight categories, including Behavioral & Social Sciences, BioChemistry and Chemistry, Computer Science, Math, Physics & Astronomy, Energy and Transportation, Environmental Sciences & Management, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering
"Intel actively promotes scientific entrepreneurship to support an innovation culture in the Arab world. We are very proud that for the third consecutive year such a large number of young Arab minds are using technology to improve the region's economic and environmental sustainability," stated Taha Khalifa, Regional General Manager for Intel Corporation in the Middle East and North Africa.
"Our message to the students is to remember that winning isn't the goal of the competition; it is about pushing the boundaries of science and research excellence in order to develop economies and communities. It is about networking and meeting likeminded individuals for future collaborations. At Intel we are committed to extending our support to scientists, entrepreneurs and the leaders of tomorrow and are very excited to see this year's submissions".
The UAE Ministry of Education is the key sponsor of the event.
