Minister of Works inspects sewerage network in block 711 in Tubli

HE the Minister of Works Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf inspected the sewerage network project in block 711 in Tubli, accompanied by Central Municipal Council Head Abdul Razzaq Hattab, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Sanitary Engineering Asma Murad and a number of engineers from the Ministry.

The project is part of the Ministry's plan to improve sanitary engineering services.

"The project comprises extending sewerage pipes at a length of 18.5km (13km main pipes and 5.5km secondary pipes) and constructing 2 pumping stations, in addition to mechanical and electrical works," said the Minister.

The BD2,979,396 project was awarded to Bahrain Pipeline Construction Co. WLL. Work commenced in May 2011 and will take 24 months to complete.

The Minister directed engineers involved in the project to implement proper paving works at the locations witnessing traffic diversions, in order to provide smooth traffic movement and not disrupt traffic flow at the project location.

Mr. Al Hattab extended thanks and appreciation to officials at the Ministry of Works for their efforts in making people's lives easier even outside rainy seasons.

He also extended thanks to HE the Minister for his constant follow-up and concern; also commending the Ministry for paving traffic diversions locations.
