Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs organizes first aid training workshop

The training section at the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs organized a training session on first aid in collaboration with strategic planning department and participation of employees.

The workshop included several theoretical and practical aspects about providing first aid to individuals and highlighted ways to prevent accidents and injuries at home and work, under the supervision of specialists from Public Safety Department at Abu Dhabi Police. A number of topics were discussed, especially those related to taking care of citizens, their responsibilities towards their health, reporting of various injuries, and dealing with local emergency services. It also discussed dealing with wounds and bleeding, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

This workshop comes in line with the vision of the Ministry to enhance public awareness about first aid and practices to reduce the high rate of injuries of individuals at home and work. It also comes within the ministry's efforts to follow the best standards and practices at this level to obtain ISO in health and safety.

The Ministry was awarded prestigious quality awards such as ISO Certification 9001: 2008, and environmental certification ISO 14001: 2004.
