Works Ministry sheds light on strategic planning

The Ministry of Works participated with the first paper in the 5th International Quality Conference under the theme 'Quality toward Excellence', which was organized by the Bahrain Quality Society and held at the Crown Plaza Hotel under the patronage of HH Deputy Prime Minister Sh. Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa.

The paper presented by Head of Strategic Planning & Quality Management Eng. Raja Al Zayani received good feedback from participants and speakers, who considered the Ministry of Works a leading organization in strategy practices in the Arab Region and other world countries. The paper presented by the Ministry of Works highlighted quality & strategy, strategic planning concepts, obstacles in the face of strategy implementation, strategy management best practices, strategy components, strategic alignment and strategy settlement.

Around 120 people from inside and outside Bahrain participated in the conference, where speakers and participants exchanged views, ideas and experiences.

The conference aimed to spread awareness in the field of quality, by highlighting the concepts of quality. Also, the conference highlighted major topics regarding quality excellence like strategic planning for quality, leadership excellence, quality tools and techniques, quality in SMEs and performance measurement.
