Batelco announces phase out of dial-up internet service

Bahrain Telecommunications Company (Batelco) has said that its dial-up service will be phased out by January 24, 2010, and called on customers still using the service to migrate to its broadband service. 'The number of dial-up customers represents less than 5% of our customers and the number decreases on a monthly basis,' Batelco's general manager Ahmed Al Janahi said.
