MoneyGram International, a global money transfer company, announced that Peter E. Ohser has been promoted to senior vice president, U.S. and Canada, and Grant Lines has joined MoneyGram as senior vice president, Asia Pacific and the Middle East.

"I am very pleased to announce the addition of these two talented individuals to our leadership team," said Pamela H. Patsley, MoneyGram's chairman and CEO.

"Pete has been with MoneyGram for 12 years in a variety of roles, and has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, a keen understanding of the Company and our industry, and the ability to develop and maintain solid relationships in our agent base. It is exciting to have the opportunity to benefit from MoneyGram's internal talent growth, and for the Company to continue to benefit from Pete's contributions in a broader capacity," added Patsley.

"I am equally pleased to announce the addition of Grant, who joins MoneyGram as an accomplished veteran in the card and payments industry in Asia Pacific," said Patsley. "Grant's experience in business development and managing various geographic regions will help MoneyGram continue its strong growth in Asia Pacific and the Middle East. With Grant and Pete, we have significantly enhanced our leadership team and this will support MoneyGram's strong focus on creating long-term shareholder value and growth."

Ohser's responsibilities during his time at MoneyGram have included retail sales management, strategic planning, finance, operations and risk management. In his new role, Ohser is responsible for MoneyGram retail, national accounts, bill pay and financial paper products in the U.S. and Canada. He is based in Dallas.

Lines' previous responsibilities follow a 20-year tenure at First Data Corporation, where he held a variety of positions throughout Asia Pacific, most recently as managing director of Australia and New Zealand. Lines is based in Sydney and also will spend time in the Company's Dubai, Hong Kong, Mumbai and Shanghai offices.
