MOSA and AOLF conduct first youth leadership training Programme (YLTP) for Gulf in Oman

The Ministry of Sports Affairs in partnership with The Oman chapter of the Art of Living Foundation is conducting its pilot Youth Leadership Training Programme (YLTP) for the first batch of around 30 Omani sports coaches, from all parts of the Sultanate.
The youth with these skills will be more confident, dynamic and in turn become future leaders.
The 'Sports of Yoga' Trainers would help people in their communities become stress free and more alert & productive.
These trainers will be able to reach out and impact positively the Road Safety and other productivity/ entrepreneurial programmes in the Sultanate of Oman.
This is the beginning of many such programmes that will be conducted for the young sports coaches in Oman. The intensive residential programme that started on December 9th, 2012 will be taught over a period of 8 days and uses stress-eliminating breathing techniques, basic yoga and deep relaxation to help the young coaches realize their inner potential and ability to live a happy, fulfilling and meaningful life.
The programme will focus on leadership, teamwork and communication skills to help them come together in a spirit of service. During the programme, participants will volunteer for community projects and over a period of time, the community, as a whole will experience the results of their effort. The programme will prepare the Coaches to teach and take the techniques, learnt by them, back to their community.
In a ceremony to be attended by dignitaries and officials of the Sports Ministry on December 16, 2012, all the participants would be awarded
certificates on the completion of this first ever YLTP of the International Art of Living Foundation, meant for the Youth in the Gulf.
The YLTP programme, conducted specifically for the Ministry of Sports as a nation building initiative, has been supported by National Bank of Oman, Bank Sohar, Qatar National Bank, Oman Arab Bank, Khimji Ramdas, Nawaras, Saud Bahwan Group etc.
Hassan Tafti, a dynamic presenter of human potential programmes to corporate and youth audiences around the world, is facilitating the Youth Leadership Training Programme. Hassan, known to empower participants to make life challenging decisions and actions in a practical and fun way, is trained to facilitate many of the programmes of the Art of Living Foundation.
He has traveled to a number of foreign countries across four continents, trading people's stress for health and happiness.
