First Motors sponsors training of high school student

First Motors, the exclusive dealers of Hyundai in the kingdom of Bahrain, recently sponsored the training of Bahraini high school student, Mr. Omar Abdulla Saad Farhan, as trainee technician in the Car Service Department.

Mr. Omar is a final year student at the Shaikh Abdulla Bin Essa Al Khalifa School and is pursuing his major in the field of mechanics. As part of his internship, Mr. Omar was one of the privileged students to be selected as a trainee technician for a period of one month at First Motors.

His responsibilities included assisting with vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned by job controllers in accordance with dealer and factory standards, and oversee the work of any junior technician assigned to him.

He also reported to the concerned team leader with any requirements for spare parts and Mr. David Valentino, Service Manager in the Car Service Department, if additional work is required, work outlined is not needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised.

"One of our corporate social goals has always been to support the empowerment of budding professionals of our country. First Motors is pleased to provide a platform to such students, to jump-start their experience in the work front and help them demonstrate their capabilities to their utmost potential," said Mr. Raed Mu'ti, General Manager of First Motors.

"We look forward to welcoming more students like Omar to First Motors and provide them with the best hands-on training possible, to help them set their best foot forward as they step into their professional lives," he added.

At the end of his training, Mr. Omar was rewarded with a certificate for his commitment and dedication on the job.
