Mourjan Marinas IGY appoints new Marina Operations Manager in Qatar

Mohamed will make the move to Qatar following a successful three years at Dubai Marina Yacht Club, where he worked as Marina Administration Manager.

His primary responsibilities in his new role will include overseeing berthing agreements, planning and implementing the Marina Maintenance Programme across both facilities, managing operations and marina administration staff and ensuring all policies and regulations are met with Mourjan Marinas IGY's standards.

Mohamed spent seven years working in the marina management industry in Egypt and the United Arab Emirates.

Whilst at Dubai Marina Yacht Club he was primarily responsible for sales and customer service of the marina, which he managed successfully in keeping the occupancy levels above 95%.

Mohamed also played an active role in driving revenues up by 20% in 2012 by creating additional concourse berths and converting larger berths into smaller ones in order to meet demand.

Mohamed's appointment follows another recent appointment by the marina operator, with Khalil AbuJaber taking on the role of Marina Manager at Oman's Almouj Marina at The Wave, Muscat.

Lusail Marina celebrated its one year anniversary in June. The marina can accommodate 93 yachts between 10-40 metres in length. The marina has been built from the very best materials to meet the highest environmental management standards.

In line with all Mourjan Marina managed facilities, Lusail Marina currently boasts a five-star concierge service, 24-hour security and marina cart service. Lusail Marina is located within the futuristic Lusail City development, one of the most ambitious real estate projects in Qatar and the wider Middle East.

In February 2012 Mourjan Marinas IGY partnered with the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel Doha to manage the 112 berth floating marina.

The Four Seasons marina, which is only 15 minutes from Doha Airport, offers boaters easy access to the Doha Corniche and members can enjoy membership to the Hotel facilities.

The marina also offers a boat ramp, round the clock security, Dockmaster assistance, along with seven-day per week fuel service for both diesel and petrol.
