Nakilat, Qatar's premier gas transporter, and its shipyard joint ventures, N-KOM and NDSQ, are offering a variety of career opportunities in Qatar's marine sector to young Qataris at this year's CNA-Q Education and Career Expo.
The programme includes a full scholarship to attend maritime training college and excellent career opportunities both onshore and aboard Nakilat's LNG-carrying fleet, which is the largest in the world.
Nakilat is also accepting applications from Qatari high-school and university graduates for positions including career development programmes at its Doha head office.
Ship repairer N-KOM (Nakilat-Keppel Offshore & Marine) and ship builder NDSQ (Nakilat Damen Shipyards Qatar), both based at Erhama Bin Jaber Al Jalahma Shipyard in Ras Laffan, are offering unique opportunities for young Nationals to become directly involved in Qatar's fast-growing marine industrial sector.
Roles range from administrative positions to careers in engineering, all based at Qatar's award-winning shipyard.
Teaching staff from CNA-Q recently visited Erhama Bin Jaber Al Jalahma Shipyard to gain a better understanding of the work of N-KOM and NDSQ, in order to support the promotion of opportunities to young Qataris interested in working in Qatar's marine industrial sector.
CNA-Q's Education & Career Expo runs from March 19-21 and is open to the public. Nakilat, N-KOM and NDSQ are attending the event for the second year running.
Muhammad Ghannam, Nakilat's Managing Director, said, "CNA-Q's career fair is a great opportunity for Nakilat, N-KOM and NDSQ to reach out to young Nationals and to raise awareness of the exciting career opportunities they can chose with us. We are committed to Qatarization and eager for the young people of Qatar to become fully engaged in the continued development of their country's marine industry."
