Nawras welcomes new corporate customers with landline services thanks to fixed number portability service

This liberating service gives business customers the opportunity to keep their existing fixed numbers when moving to join Nawras from another telecommunications provider.

The FNP service can be used by any corporate customer using a Primary Rate Interface or PRI, which is the standard service used by most medium and large enterprises for carrying multiple calls across a network.

Adnan Zubaid Khan, Product Manager for Fixed Voice and International Data Services at Nawras, said, "The launch of fixed number portability was enthusiastically welcomed by the corporate sector as for the very first time in Oman it gives them a choice of fixed operator for their daily voice communications. Like MNP for mobile lines, this service means that companies can choose Nawras to deliver their entire portfolio of communications."

Khan added, "FNP for corporate customers with PRIs is the first step in a service that will expand over time to enable even more corporate customers to join Nawras and get more from their business. Companies using the service are being assisted throughout the FNP process to enable a smooth transition to Nawras. As the same fixed telephone numbers remain in use, there is no need to inform customers and suppliers of different contact details or to redo any marketing or corporate collateral.
