- PRESS RELEASE
In line with its strict commitment to play a key role in social responsibility programmes in the Middle East, Nazih Group has actively participated in the Dubai Cares 'Burj of Giving' philanthropic initiative aimed at raising funds in support of millions of children around the world who do not go to school.
Burj Khalifa has provided the full production cost of the mini Burj Khalifa structures while renowned UAE artists have generously offered to paint the structures with no cost.
Nazih Group purchased one of the artistic structures and 100% of the purchase price was donated to support Dubai Cares primary education programmes in developing countries.
"In the challenging and tough world of today, we at Nazih Group believe that taking part in such events makes our professional journey more worthwhile. We believe in giving back to society and supporting a good cause wherever it may be," said Mr. Hussein Hamad, Board Member of Nazih Group.
Mr. Tariq Al Gurg, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Cares, recognized the Group's dedication to being a socially responsible organization by presenting a plaque of recognition to Mr. Hamad at the unveiling ceremony which was held on the 22nd January, 2013 at the Burj Plaza in Downtown Dubai.
Tariq Al Gurg, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Cares, said, "I would like to thank Nazih Group for their generous contribution to Dubai Cares. Nazih Group has been present in the region for over 35 years, yet their commitment towards supporting philanthropic causes did not diminish across the years."
"With the support of such committed donors, be it local or multi-national organizations operating within the UAE, we have been able to make a tremendous difference by providing millions of children in developing countries with access to quality primary education," added Al Gurg.
