NBO says nine-month net profit jumped to OR30.5m

The National Bank of Oman (NBO) has reported a 12% rise in its net profit for the nine-month period ended September 30, 2012, to OR30.5m, compared with OR26.3m in the same period last year, Muscat Daily has reported. NBO's total operating income grew by 6% to OR73.9m in the period, while net interest income rose 12% to OR50m from OR44.6m in the corresponding period of last year. Total assets climbed 20% to OR2.52bn as of September 2012 from OR2.1bn a year ago, the lender said.
