NCB posts 12.7% rise in nine-month net income

Saudi Arabia's National Commercial Bank (NCB) has said its net income for the first nine months of 2012 climbed 12.7% to SR5.042bn from SR4.473bn for the same period of the previous year, the Saudi Gazette has reported. Net income for the third quarter amounted to SR1.48bn, NCB said. Total assets during the period ended September 30, 2012, grew to SR321bn, compared with SR307bn for the same period of the previous year, an increase of 4.5%. Total shareholders' equity jumped 10.9% to SR38.4bn, compared with SR34.7bn at end of the same period of the previous year, the lender said.
