NCC awarded Dhs850 in contracts for power stations in UAE

The UAE's Federal Electricity and Water Authority (FEWA) has signed two deals with the Saudi National Contracting Co (NCC) to commission a 33/11 kv transmission station and upgrade a number of 33/11 kv and 132/33/11 kv stations in the western region (Ajman and Umm Al Qaiwain), central and eastern region (Fujairah and Diba) and northern region (Ras Al Khaimah), Wam has reported. The Dhs850m contracts involve civil and cable works, and geographical information systems (GIS) and will cater for demand from the northern part until 2018. The projects are expected to be completed in 15 months from date of signing the contracts.
