NCR secures biggest deal ever in Mideast

US-based NCR Corp has said it has been awarded a contract to provide Oman's new Muscat International and Salalah Airports with networking, computing and other technology solutions. Under terms of the contract, NCR will design, install, test and manage voice, data and wireless infrastructure, networks, archiving and storage solutions, compute infrastructure; web check-in solutions, and airport wayfinding solutions. The Georgia-based firm did not disclose the financial terms of the deal, but said it is the company's largest contract ever in the Middle East region. Work has started and is set to be completed in 2014, NCR said.
