NETASQ, Cassidian CyberSecurity and Kaspersky Lab jointly organized an event in Abu Dhabi to present how their cybersecurity solutions contribute to develop a new line of defense for companies.
Companies need to have measures in place not only to prevent security issues impacting their businesses, but also to deal with the fallout when breaches do occur.
With over 50 representatives from the Middle East belonging to governmental organizations as well as commercial companies attending yesterday's event it is quite obvious that the Middle East is one of the most advanced regions in the world in terms of cyber awareness.
As Mr Rawad Bader; IT Manager Al Madar School declared: "In a sensitive geography and in an era when the number of successful attacks per week is increasing by 100% each year, it is most important to be constantly on the outlook for the solutions which will protect us."
Hakam Kayed, Regional Sales Director MEA at NETASQ said, "This was a successful event that was well attended, we are delighted that businesses across the region saw the value in coming to an event that delivered exceptional advice to companies struggling with the complexities that security threats mean to businesses today."
Guy Meguer, General Manager Middle East, Cassidian CyberSecurity declared: "Security needs are growing fast. Businesses are facing a large-scale, well-organized and well-resourced criminal network which is out to defraud them and their customers. Being well prepared can enable businesses to prevent and limit damages".
Konstantin Matyukhin, Kaspersky Lab Technology Alliances Account Manager, Emerging Markets, commented: "Malware and data fraud industry is experiencing a gold rush, steadily growing every year - as do the losses of legitimate businesses. Obviously, careful businessmen are looking for new ways of protecting themselves. During this event we tried to explain modern approaches to data security and demonstrated how a joint NETASQ/Kaspersky Lab offering can be used to establish reliable defensive perimeter for your digital assets."
