Alghad Newspaper and Microsoft launch Alghad application on Windows Store

AlGhad and Microsoft announced the launch of AlGhad application, the very first application from Jordan to be published on Windows Store.

"We are excited to have our application published on Windows Store, and we encourage our readers to enjoy its many entertaining features. Windows Store is a great platform for us to reach a wider group of readers", said Emad Kandah, Director of AlGhad newspaper, one of the top newspapers in Jordan that enjoys high readership.

AlGhad application is both user-friendly and has great features that include sharing news through e-mail and Facebook and searching for specificnews, in addition to an active live tile with the latest news.

ProSys Software Solutions developed the application in close cooperation withMicrosoft and Microsoft Innovation Center. "With the help and guidance of the Microsoft team, we developed AlGhad application ensuring that it meets the requirements and guidelines that should be met by any application to be published on Windows Store", said Aoun Al-Sharif, the Managing Director of ProSys Software Solutions.

"Windows 8's improved performance offers an amazing user experience for mobile devices, computer and tablet users while meeting their needs whether using it for work or entertainment. To complement this revolutionary operating system platform, Microsoft launched Windows Store, a great platform for innovating and creating applications that millions of users could utilize", said Mr. Zeid Shubailat, Microsoft Jordan's Country Manager.

"To keep up with the rapid changes in media technology, newspapers and magazines are shifting towards digital media. We look forward to seeing all Jordanian media following the steps of AlGhad Newspaper and joining the digital world through Windows Store", he added.
