- The relationship between businesses and the environment is a relatively modern phenomenon. A number of environmental and private organisations have been working together through associations and conventions adopted across the globe. In 2001 WWF set up its first permanent presence in the UAE, partly though the assistance of its Corporate Club.

WWF-EWS urges all businesses to acquire the necessary CITES permits
- WWF-EWS has been working in collaboration with the Federal Environmental Agency (the CITES Management Authority for Abu Dhabi), the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries (the CITES Management Authority for the Northern Emirates), and ERWDA (the CITES Scientific Authority) on local CITES implementation.

Exemplifying Private Sector Involvement in Environmental Education Programmes in the UAE
- Enviro-Spellathon is a unique educational programme that introduces primary school children in the UAE to the country's biodiversity and helps them assimilate serious information in a fun way. It also spreads key ecological messages, sensitising children to conservation issues while encouraging them to imbibe sound environmental behaviour.

Corporate Walk on the Wild Side
- WWF Corporate Club members met the furry faces at Sharjah Wildlife Park as part of a behind-the-scenes tour of its facilities. WWF is hoping to increase corporate involvement in its regional environmental projects.
