Etihad offers chauffeur service to Toronto customers
- Etihad Airways has introduced a new luxury chauffeur service for its premium customers travelling to and from Toronto's Pearson International airport. All first and business class customers travelling within a 50 kilometres radius of Toronto are eligible for Etihad Chauffeur, the complimentary luxury car service.

Emirates to fly nonstop to LA
- Emirates Airlines will launch non-stop flights from Dubai to the California city of Los Angeles beginning 1st September. Operating daily, the service will be the first non-stop operation connecting the two cities. The new flight runs a distance of 8339 miles, clocking 16 hours 35 minutes journey time to California, while the shorter return flight will be just under 16 hours.

Saudi budget airline launches flights to UAE
- Nasair, Saudi Arabia's first budget airline, launched its first flights to the UAE on Wednesday, reported Gulf News. The airline will operate 10 flights a week linking Riyadh and Jeddah to the UAE emirate of Sharjah. The airline is providing special launch fares starting from 89 riyals. Seats are available through flynas.com, the nasair reservation centre and travel agents, with low prices for early bookings.

Adac signs catering deal with SSP
- Abu Dhabi Airports Company (Adac) has signed a three-year partnership with Europe and Asia's leading airport food and beverage provider, SSP, to provide exclusive services across all food and beverage outlets in the upcoming Terminal 3 at Abu Dhabi International Airport. Headquartered in the UK, SSP has an extensive portfolio of international and national brands, operating in 28 countries, incorporating over 2,000 restaurants, bars, cafes, convenience stores and food courts under its management.

DAE buys software firm
- Dubai Aerospace Enterprise has paid $25m for Austria's Flugwerkzeuge Aviation Software, a privately held company that develops flight-planning software for airlines, reported Reuters. Kamilia Sofia, acting chief executive of DAE unit DAE Services, said airlines are looking for technologies that will help ease the burden or record oil prices. She said the software company will deliver 'immediate and substantial savings'.

Cathay offers daily Dubai-Mumbai
- Cathay Pacific Airways is now offering daily flights between Dubai and Mumbai. The airline provides a total of 17 non-stop flights a week departing from Dubai, which includes 7 non-stop flights to Mumbai and 10 non-stop flights to Hong Kong. The first daily flight landed in Dubai on 29th February.

India requires travellers' details in advance
- Details of travellers flying from the Middle East to India will be available to Indian immigration authorities before their arrival from next month as the government will require all airlines to submit passenger manifest prior to landing, reported Gulf News. Representatives from airlines landing in India will provide information such as the full name, gender, date of birth and nationality of the passengers and crew in electronic form within 15 minutes of the aircraft taking off from a foreign location. UAE-based airlines said they are prepared to follow this procedure when it comes into effect from April 1.

Bahrain Air adds new routes
- Bahrain Air plans to launch direct flights to Kuwait from March 30 and Alexandria, Egypt from March 31, reported Khaleej Times. Alexandria flights will be provided four times weekly at 11:00pm and Kuwait three times weekly at 10:30am. The ticket prices are ten Bahraini dinars to Alexandria and seven Bahraini dinars to Kuwait, the daily reported. Alexandria flights will be provided four times weekly at 11:00pm and Kuwait three times weekly at 10:30am. Bahrain Air started commercial operations on February 3, 2008. Currently, Bahrain Air flies regularly from Bahrain International Airport to seven destinations. The airline operates with three Airbus A320s.It is the first privately owned low cost Premium airline of the kingdom. The company was created to contribute to the kingdom's civil aviation, tourism and the transportation industry sectors.
