Oasis Leasing
- Oasis Leasing was the first company to list its shares on the new Abu Dhabi Securities Market, and was originally launched as a $135m initial public offering in 1998 under the auspices of the UAE offsets department. This summer Oasis also became the first ADSM company to allow foreign investors to own its shares.

Emaar Properties
- Emaar Properties is a major property development company in Dubai, and was launched by an initial public offering in late 1997. The IPO was followed by a spectacular boom and bust in the Emaar share price from which it has never really recovered.
