The Dubai Duty Free award was presented by the newly formed Superbrands Council in the UAE, an offshoot of the Superbrands organisation, which comprises of councils throughout the world. The UAE Council consists of senior executives from top companies within the emirates.
Dubai Duty Free was among a number of UAE-based companies to receive the Superbrands award, which recognises outstanding brand qualities identified with a particular brand name.
Commenting on this latest award, Colm McLoughlin, Managing Director of Dubai Duty Free said: 'Establishing the brand identity of Dubai Duty Free was a key factor from the very beginning of operations in 1983 and we are delighted that the brand is now known throughout the world and that Dubai Duty Free is synonymous with quality, choice, service, ambience and value for money.'
At the Superbrands Awards ceremony, Mr. McLoughlin made a presentation on 'The Impact Branding Has Had on the UAE', in which he highlighted the dramatic development and global recognition of the UAE itself as a strong brand entity.
Superbrand status for Dubai Duty Free
Dubai Duty Free received 'Superbrand' status at the recent award ceremony held to mark the launch of the Superbrands Council in the UAE and the release of the UAE edition of the Superbrands hardback book.
