Saudi Arabia sets tourism agenda

Chairman of Saudi tourism, Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud said the kingdom plans to double its tourism sector to be worth USD22bn annually by 2020. He told journalists this would include adding 50,000 hotel rooms over the next decade. Most Saudi tourism is religious in nature as visas can be hard to obtain and restrictions on personal freedom are not liked by leisure visitors.
