Three leading brands - Toshiba, Intel and Al-Futtaim Group's retail powerhouse, Plug-Ins - came together to create the exhibition and give customers hands-on experience of the world's most advanced mobile computing systems.

Toshiba presented its leading-edge Tecra and Satellite Pro range of notebooks, featuring Intel's Centrino mobile technology which has become the industry standard since being launched three months ago, as well its Tablet PC, multi-media systems, and mobiles based on Intel's Pentium 4 processor.

Intel's Centrino technology has enabled hotspot sites that give the general public low-cost wireless Internet access. The first was opened in Dubai last month by Plug-Ins at the Cyber Café in Deira City Centre.

Ahmed Khalil, regional manager of Toshiba's Middle East computer systems division, said: 'Toshiba notebooks are all about mobility and by joining forces with Intel and Plug-Ins we are giving our customers an even more convenient way of doing business while on the move.

'Busy travellers not only benefit from instant ability to send and receive information - they can do it in the fastest way possible, giving them the freedom to work anytime, anywhere, anyhow.'
