Air Arabia marketing team takes centre stage

Air Arabia LLC, UAE's third national airline and the first low cost airline of its kind in the Middle East & North Africa region, today announced two key managerial appointments in its Marketing Department.
"With a series of major achievements and contribution to this region's aviation industry, Fairooz is the ideal candidate to fill the key role of Sales & Marketing Director. His unique and in-depth knowledge and insights into our target market and their specific requirements, coupled with his commitment and energy, will be crucial to the success of this new airline model," explained Adel Ali, Air Arabia's CEO.
In his position, Fairooz will be responsible for developing innovative sales and marketing strategies, launching Air Arabia's corporate identity, and implementing region-wide development plans which will support and promote Air Arabia's overall objective of providing competitive and economical travel opportunities to customers.
Fairooz is a seasoned professional with a career which spans more than 20 years in the aviation industry. He has held several key managerial positions with British Airways in various countries starting from Chief Reservations Officer in Bahrain, to Sales & Marketing Manager for the Eastern Province in Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi & Al Ain, as well as Kuwait. He has also worked in Gulf Air as Regional Sales Manager for Europe, as well as Japan Airlines where he responsible for managing the sales and cargo activities in Bahrain and Qatar for the airline.

Reporting directly to the Sales & Marketing Director, Habibullah will be responsible for managing all marketing, advertising, and public relations (PR) activities of Air Arabia. She joins Air Arabia from Honey Bee Natural Products Ltd and Highland Distillers in India, where she held the roles of Marketing & Business Development Manager and was responsible for strategising and implementing marketing, advertising and PR strategies, as well as identifying areas for development.
"Habibullah has incredible marketing expertise, and it gives me great pleasure to announce her appointment. She will be a great asset to the team and we are looking forward to her creative input and ideas to ensure the success of our airline company," added Adel Ali.
Habibullah graduated from St. Stephens College in Delhi University with a Bachelors degree in Philosophy, followed by an MBA from City University with an emphasis on international business.
With its inaugural flight at the end of October, Air Arabia will offer tremendous opportunities to travellers who are looking for competitive fares. Air Arabia aims to make air travel more convenient and frequent, while providing the lowest fares in the market without sacrificing the standards of service offered.

About Air Arabia LLC:Air Arabia LLC was established as the third fully fledged commercial airline in the United Arab Emirates on 3rd February 2003 by an Ameeri decree issued by His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah and Member of the Supreme Council of the UAE. The Air Arabia fleet will initially consist of two modern A320 aircraft, flying directly to the following destinations: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Lebanon, Syria and Iran.
