Packed with the newest colour management features and a range of finishing capabilities to deliver fast, professional quality results to the professional print organisation or corporate marketing department, it comes in a compact space-saving design, and has exceptional shared network performance for maximum utilisation.
With a superb true 600dpi x 600dpi resolution on an offset-like matte finish using Canon's exclusive polymer 'S' type spherical toner, the CLC3200 allows short-run print jobs to look as good as those coming off the presses.
'Key to the success of the CLC3200 in the Middle East is the superb finish of its output and the flexibility of its options, while remaining incredibly easy to use. This allows print shops or corporates to do short runs of professional-quality brochures or collateral, without needing specially trained operators, allowing organisations to maximise the value they get from this machine', said Michel Sabbagh, Marketing Manager of Canon Middle East.
Flexible
The CLC3200 is modular, allowing the user to choose what capabilities they need, and whether it is configured to be a copier, printer or multi-functional device. The CLC3200 supports a diverse array of print media, from envelopes to SRA3 and thickness ranging from 64 to 253 gsm. A through-path duplexing unit is included as standard, with support for heavy paper up to 209 gsm.
Intuitive
The device can be operated intuitively via a large, easy-to-use full VGA colour touch panel display, which has preview and edit functions. By simply using a touch pen on the preview displayed on the touch panel display, time can be saved and productivity increased as trimming and masking operations can be performed without the user needing to go back to a desktop to make changes.
Finishing
A wide variety of production-oriented accessories are available to allow users to deliver a completely finished document. These include an automatic document feeder, side paper deck and a saddle-finisher for professional booklet production.
Advanced Colour Management Features
The Colour Network Printer Unit-C1 controller features 2400 equivalent x 600dpi printing (PostScript 3/CPSI Version 3011 and PCL5ec) and provides expert-level tools to ensure maximum print performance and colour management throughout a print environment such as Command Workstation, ColourWise Pro Tools and Fiery Scan.
Post-RIP calibration is integrated into the Colour Network Controller. This allows print jobs to be RIPped only once and output with different calibration profiles to match customers' expectations. They can be held for customer approval for printing at a later date without committing to a specific calibration profile. Flexibility is built into the production process by keeping final calibration decisions to the last possible stage.
Full CMYK simulation (a complete calibration method to match the colour space of the input source with the colour space of the output device) now features output Grey Colour Replacements (GCR). Source GCR assists completely accurate proofing by preserving the black channel, while Output GCR maintains the grey balance from the first print through to the last in the same colour run. Spot-On is a practical new tool that helps users to reproduce defined 'spot colours' (such as a company logo) with accuracy. It supports Pantone, HKS, TOYO and DIC colour naming systems.
