The Pavilions offer the public an opportunity to enjoy and learn about foreign and diverse cultures. Cuisines, souvenirs, gifts and information are displayed by each of the pavilions and people are invited to experience the different ambience created by each country.

Mr Omar Ansara, organizer for the Bulgarian Pavilion said; 'We are delighted and privileged to be involved in the Global Village 2004 at Dubai Shopping Festival this year. Many people across the world know very little about Bulgarian culture and traditions. This event gives us a unique opportunity to introduce Bulgaria to the world.'

The Bulgarian Pavilion hopes to attract many visitors with their interesting displays of traditional Bulgarian goods. Handicrafts and souvenirs will be available as will a selection of typical Bulgarian leather accessories ranging from handbags to belts. Original foods will be made available and there will be several information points whereby people can understand the geography and history of Bulgaria.

The Pavilion will also enable Bulgaria to promote its fast growing tourism industry. Ansara continued; 'We expect to have a travel partner with us who will be able to explain and introduce the wonderful vacations available throughout Bulgaria. For the duration of The Global Village we will be offering a number of special promotions and packages unique to the Dubai Shopping Festival. We not only want to introduce people to our culture but also to invite them to our country.'
