Empost appoints Deputy General Manager

Announcing the top-level appointment, Empost General Manager Essa M. Al Daboos, said the new Deputy General Manager, will add value to the operations of Empost. "Empost is poised for the next stage of its growth. Sultan Abdulrahman will be critical to the expansion of the company and will oversee and direct the projected growth in operations," Essa said.

Al Midfa said he was extremely pleased to take on the responsibility of Deputy General Manager at Empost. "It is a serious responsibility. The express service or courier market is crowded and competition is stiff. Empost has a tremendous track record and we are assured that we can improve upon it. With Mr. Essa, I shall endeavour to further improve Empost's ranking in the market."

A UAE National, Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Midfa is no stranger to the industry. Before he was appointed Deputy General Manager of Empost, Sultan was the Director of Exchange Centres Department at parent firm, Emirates Post. In this position, he was responsible for entire operations of emirates post in the UAE including letters exchange centre, Parcel exchange centre and the Airport exchange office.

A graduate of the Higher Colleges of Technology, Sultan Abdulrahman has also held the positions Head of Postal Affairs Section in Emirates Post.
