The training programme, organised in association with New Horizons, the global IT training corporation, focused on IT adoption in every sphere of daily workflow.

"The adoption of IT into the daily workflow of the judiciary has contributed to improving access to information for the judges and other officiating judicial officers. Information about past judicial precedents, past judgements and old records pertaining is just a click away," Mr. Ibrahim Bu Malha, Attorney General, Dubai Government. "This has contributed to increased efficiency and speeding up the dispensation of justice. BSA's contribution to this cause is praiseworthy. We expect that the dedication with which BSA has carried out the fight for IPR protection will spread to its campaign for raising IT awareness in the various segments of UAE society."

"BSA's new initiative to help accelerate IT adoption amongst judges is an excellent example of commitment to the community," Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Al Kamali, Gen. Director, Judicial Training and Studies Institute, UAE. "While computers have already been inducted extensively into the judicial premises around the country, by providing the judges with an opportunity to upgrade their IT skills, BSA's training programme will contribute to facilitating the use of IT in every sphere of judicial work."

"BSA's work in the field of protection of Intellectual Property Rights has met with huge success, with the rate of software piracy dropping appreciably," added Dr. Kamali. "We would like to commend the job done by BSA and appreciate their contribution in spreading IT awareness."

"The UAE's leadership position in knowledge economy is widely acknowledged today. The government's efforts in this direction have already shown excellent results, in the form of several successful projects including Dubai e-Government and Dubai Internet City," said Jawad Al Redha, Co-chairman, BSA Middle East. "Against this background, integrating IT into the judiciary system will have numerous benefits, including faster dispensation of justice, easier access for the general public to judicial representatives and public access to the judicial case histories."

"BSA's initiative to encourage IT adoption among the country's judges was driven by the desire to give something back to the community, in return for the support we have received," added Al Redha. "When the idea was initially discussed, we were encouraged by the level of enthusiasm displayed by all our associates. This initiative has the patronage of Mr. Ibrahim Bu Malha, Attorney General, Dubai Government and Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Al Kamali, Gen. Director, Judicial Training and Studies Institute, UAE. On the other hand, we are fortunate to have the expertise of one of the best global institutes of IT training, New Horizons, in the implementation of this new project."
