HCT's accounting students will be exposed to a curriculum that combines the benefits of learning through text books with the practical application of the theory through technology-based learning.
'ACCPAC's Simply Accounting software is used for students at introductory levels in every college as part of the general and applied business programs,' said William Holmes, Manager of Business Programmes, HCT. 'Simply Accounting gives us a lot of flexibility in our teaching. Hundreds of students are taught on this programme every year, providing them with exposure to internationally acknowledged accounting software.'
Simply Accounting, awarded 'World Class: Best of 2003 - Business Accounting Software' by PC World magazine, is used by more than 400,000 companies around the world. Accounting students at HCT gain a leading edge over their peers by having the necessary skills that will open doors for them in job opportunities in and outside the Middle East.
'Simply Accounting is the accounting software of choice for a large number of accounting professionals and business owners around the world. It is both powerful and flexible with a logical structure that allows students to learn accounting at a comfortable pace,' said Marc Van Der Ven, General Manager, ACCPAC Middle East. 'We take our commitment to the education industry seriously and look forward to rolling out even more applications to support the educational community.'
HCT will be implementing the ACCPAC software in 11 colleges around the U.A.E. and expects to graduate hundreds of Simply Accounting knowledgeable students yearly.
