BMW Group launches BMW ALPINA in the Middle East
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, September 13 - 2004 at 15:14
- PRESS RELEASE
Building on the outstanding success enjoyed by the BMW ALPINA marque, since its UAE launch in 2000, BMW Group Middle East announced the arrival of the BMW ALPINA model range to the Middle East and unveiled the latest addition to the high performance BMW ALPINA family, the new BMW ALPINA B7.
Offering unrivalled levels of performance and handling, the heart of the new BMW ALPINA B7 is a newly developed power plant producing an extraordinary 500bhp, achieving 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds. In addition, the 6-speed automatic transmission uses an enhanced ALPINA developed SWITCH-TRONIC system to enable shift-on-the-wheel Formula 1 style gear changing.
Guenther Seemann, Managing Director of BMW Group Middle East said: "The new BMW Alpina B7 is based on the highly successful 7 Series which redefined the luxury performance segment with its innovative cutting-edge technology. The success of our 7 Series forms the cornerstone of our decision to further enrich our top model luxury line-up with the launch of this high-performance exclusive model."
"For almost 40 years now, BMW and ALPINA have enjoyed a unique relationship. BMW ALPINA cars are synonymous with super-performance and exclusivity. Every time we say BMW ALPINA, this means we are bringing our customers the promise of an exhilarating and unique ownership experience," said Seemann.
Previously, BMW ALPINA models have only been available in the UAE.
"The success of BMW ALPINA in the UAE, since its launch four years ago, has laid the foundation for the roll out of the marque into other Middle East markets."
"We are looking forward to the launch of this new BMW ALPINA flagship in Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain and shortly afterwards Saudi Arabia and Oman," Seemann concluded.
The BMW ALPINA customer is a fastidious enthusiast who appreciates first class technology and enjoys exhilarating super performance, yet aesthetically prefers a refined and sophisticated façade.
Discrete power is what these connoisseurs yearn for. The new BMW ALPINA B7 comes with virtually unlimited opportunities for individual specification.
The BMW ALPINA B7 offers all the same equipment available in the BMW 7 Series.
Like all 7 Series models, the emphasis is on supreme comfort and convenience for the driver and passengers. Luxury is personalized through a wide range of customized choices such as the multifunction comfort seats, climate control, electrically adjustable lumbar support, comfort headrest as well as seat massage and ventilation."
Other features include cruise control, voice control with a wide range of functions, comfort seats at the rear, the rear monitor complete with a six-DVD changer and iDrive Controller for rear-seat passengers as well, and the LOGIC7 Professional HiFi system.
Yet the BMW ALPINA B7 is different. The car boasts an attractive aerodynamic exterior complemented with the characteristic blue-trimmed instruments and the leather-coated steering wheel. From the front and rear wings to the chrome kick-plates beneath the doors, from the suspension to the wheels, to the wood on the dash - the BMW ALPINA B7 is exclusively designed.
