Bahrain World Trade Centre website goes live

An important new website for Bahrain was launched yesterday, following an official announcement by International Property Consultants DTZ, that USD150,000,000 currently being invested in a state-of-the-art, twin tower development in central Manama, would become the Bahrain World Trade Centre (BWTC).

Highlighting the popularity of this move, www.bahrainwtc.com took nearly 1,000 hits on its first day.

In celebration of the BWTC launch, local media were invited to a ceremony at which a full-scale model of the new development was unveiled allowing people the first opportunity to see the potential magnificence of the structure. The model of the BWTC, which was created by a local Bahraini company, is now on view to the public at the Bahrain Commercial Complex shopping mall, adjacent to the Sheraton Hotel in central Manama.

Standing at 240 metres high the 50 storey twin-tower building will become a prestigious landmark for Bahrain and will add prominence to the Manama skyline being the tallest buildings in Bahrain. As well as offering 43 storeys of lettable space, the existing retail centre will double in size, adding prestigious designer fashion outlets as well as top quality restaurants. The Sheraton Hotel will undergo an extensive facelift, to provide catering and conference facilities along with leisure and fine dining amenities and will form an integral part of the BWTC.

DTZ, one of the world's largest firms of international property advisers has been appointed as the marketing and leasing agents for the development, and state that interest in both the retail and office elements has multiplied significantly since yesterday's launch.
