1000th maintenance contract for Planters

Jonathan Pardoe, General Manager of Planters, stated "We have come a long way since we first started in 1979, through hard work and quality service we have consistently built up the number of maintenance contracts year on year. This is a great achievement for us to have reached the 1000th mark and we are now the largest interior landscaping company in the Middle East."

Planters, who have recently celebrated their 25th year in businesses in the UAE, have been growing from strength to strength and have now captured approximately 35% - 40% of the local market as well as attaining consistent growth of 15% - 20% year on year.

This success can be related to the dramatic rise in the number of commercial enterprises that has been set up in the region during the past few years. This is expected to continue for the foreseeable future with amazing new developments taking place such as the Garden Mall, Mall of the Emirates, Dubailand, and the 200 new hotels planned to be built over the next few years. With all of these building projects, Dubai has emerged as the forerunner of international design making interior landscaping a serious multi million-dollar business.

Interior landscaping has now become a 'must have' in offices, hotels and shopping malls. Positive impressions are created through aesthetically pleasing features which provide a more comfortable and relaxing environment to live, shop and work in. Companies have come to realize the importance of professional, well presented displays.

However the very best displays can be undermined if the maintenance is poor. Mr. Pardoe stated, "A maintenance contract involves careful attention to detail to ensure that the initial impact made by a fresh display is maintained. This protects the clients initial investment and ensures that a professional appearance is presented at all times." Mr Pardoe added, "Planters have skilled personnel, who are trained to take care of all aspects of plant care from watering to pest control, and have the materials on hand to replace plants that are below standard. Generally each display is tended on a weekly basis to keep displays in perfect order or replacing the ones which fall below our high standards."
