Speaking ahead of his address to the 'Entrepreneurs in Dubai' audience this May, the man whose roller coaster business career has captured worldwide attention said: 'Dubai is clearly one of the most vibrant property development markets in the world. Pioneering and unprecedented projects make Dubai a prime contender in the global economy.'
But Trump, who will address 'Entrepreneurs in Dubai' via video cast, said real economic development came from the 'start-up' spirit.
'The true driving force in any economy is entrepreneurship,' he said.
Trump said he is greatly looking forward to addressing the headline audience of business leaders in Dubai - his first engagement with a Middle East gathering.
'Never before have I addressed business professionals in the Middle East nor have I spoken among so many outstanding speakers,' he said.
Trump is among a star-studded speaker line up for 'Entrepreneurs in Dubai,' which will be held at the Dubai International Convention Centre from May 23-25. Others sharing the platform include: Dame Anita Roddick, who started The Body Shop out of economic necessity and turned it into a multi-million-dollar beauty empire and easyJet founder Stelios Haji-Ioannou who will speak on the 'addiction' to expanding a brand into various operating sectors.
'There is a fantastic line-up of over 25 visionary leaders and world-renowned entrepreneurs who, for the first time, will share their experience on the same platform,' said Trump. 'I am sure the audience will be inspired and dazzled by the stories from these remarkable individuals who have made it, not just talked about it.
'For my part, I look forward to sharing some insights into the guiding principles I have relied on to achieve business success. From what it took to rebound from financial disaster, to a glimpse at what really went on behind the scenes during those difficult years of my career, as well as the near-impossible challenges I have faced along the way and the success I have achieved today.'
'Entrepreneurs in Dubai' - the International Entrepreneurship Forum and Exhibition - is being billed as the region's biggest gathering of would-be tycoons and corporate majors and will present three days of inspiration from the most powerful people in the business.
'The audience will learn how to become a millionaire when armed with only an idea and a vision and how contemporary leadership approaches help organisations fast-forward through the hurdles ahead,' said Jessica Sutherland, General Manager, IIR Middle East, which is co-organising the event along with the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment For Young Business Leaders. 'Delegates should be prepared for powerful, practical and innovative insights from provocative people who have changed business forever.
'Every speaker at 'Entrepreneurs in Dubai' has impacted an industry and a country's business landscape and has proved an inspiration to others.'
'Entrepreneurs in Dubai' is being held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Board, Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment For Young Business Leaders. It is endorsed by the United Nations Conference On Trade and Development (UNCTAD). Energy giant Shell Markets Middle East, management software experts Computer Associates and services consultants Deloitte are headline sponsors.
The event has attracted AME Info, Flip Media, BBC World, Gulf Business, Saudi Research and Publishing Company, Arabian Radio Network and Dubai Radio Network as media partners.
