National Commercial Bank of Saudi Arabia has appointed PIC Solutions to provide credit and risk training for the bank's staff. The training programme will include the development of bank-specific credit and risk training modules, exercises, case studies and simulation software that will then be used to train NCB's managerial personnel.

Ajman University of Science and Technology has upgraded many of its IT programmes to meet the increasing demands of students and employers. The Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering said the improvements will be introduced by adapting programmes proposed by the American Computer Association, and by analysing the needs of local market executives and managers.

Gulf University, the Manama-based higher education institute, has launched a number of Masters programmes for the forthcoming academic year. The graduate programmes include Masters degrees in business administration, banking and finance, human resources, computer science, information technology and engineering.
Dubai Municipality is poised to open a Dhs5.3 mn training centre for the government agency's staff. The centre will boast eight fully equipped multi-purpose training halls with state-of-the-art audio-visual systems, as well as purpose-built halls for English language courses, and computer labs.
