The British University in Dubai is to make its debut at the 16th Gulf Education and Training Exhibition to be held from April 20-23at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre. BUiD will seek students for its first academic year beginning in September 2004. This is the first Post Graduate Research-based British university in the UAE and based in Dubai's Knowledge Village.

Lebanon has inked a memorandum of understanding with Microsoft that will bring long term education partnership programmes under its Partners in Learning global initiative. This covers grades 1-12 in public schools and will cover IT education for students.
