British University, Dubai debut
The British University in Dubai is to make its debut at the 16th Gulf Education and Training Exhibition to be held from April 20-23at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre. BUiD will seek students for its first academic year beginning in September 2004. This is the first Post Graduate Research-based British university in the UAE and based in Dubai's Knowledge Village.
UOWD opens admissions
The University of Wollongong Dubai commences new business courses on May 2 and registration is now open. This Australian university offers MBA, Master of International Business and Master of Quality Management qualifications to international standards.
MBA Program, DKV admissions
Now available in the Dubai Knowledge Village, the highly accredited MBA Program from the UAE University's College of Business and Economics will close admissions on April 21. Tuition and courses for four semesters is Dhs130,350. For details visit, www.cbe.uaeu.ac.ae/mba
IT training for 60 Dubai women
The sixty members of the Dubai Women's Club are to undergo IT training from the Humansoft Group. Group General Manager Nadeem Younis said women should not ignore the importance of IT knowledge. Humansoft offers a wide range of IT courses in the UAE.
Microsoft , Lebanon MoU
Lebanon has inked a memorandum of understanding with Microsoft that will bring long term education partnership programmes under its Partners in Learning global initiative. This covers grades 1-12 in public schools and will cover IT education for students.
