Dubai, 922 accidents over Eid

Between UAE National Day and the Eid Al Fitr holiday the Dubai Police attended 992 accidents, one of them fatal, reported Gulf News. Most of the accidents were caused by speeding, said officials, who rescued seven people over the holiday period.

DaimlerChrysler's new Mayback supercar has left Rolls Royce in the shade, according to a test drive published by The Daily Telegraph. Its reviewer highlighted seats derived from the Nasa space shuttle, thick glass for quietness, a 600W Bose stereo, the most powerful production engine in the world, two brake calipers per front wheel and a hydraulically dampened Kleenex holder. This giant car also moved from 0-100 kph in 5.2 seconds and hit 280 kph before electronics shut off the speed to save its tyres.
