Oman is set to introduce a road tax on vehicles in the sultanate in its 2003 budget, reported AFP. The USD7.70 to USD20.50 annual tax will be weighted according to the vehicle type. Oman faces a mounting budget deficit due to falling oil production.
Lexus mega raffle tickets are already selling like hot cakes at petrol stations and shopping malls ahead of the Dubai Shopping Festival, said the organisers. The first draw to win one of the 128 Lexus cars available during the 32-day event will take place on January 15, the first day of the DSF. Raffle tickets cost Dhs200 with a maximum sale of 5,000 per draw.
