AD Motor Show, new Lincoln 4x4
Visitors to the Premier Motors Ford, Lincoln and Mercury stand at the Abu Dhabi International Motor Show between September 28 and October 2 will see the newest luxury 4x4, the Lincoln Navigator. The new premium full-sized 4x4 will make its debut in Abu Dhabi on the show's opening day.
Audi launches new A6
Audi has unveiled its new A6 in the region which has a new radiator grille, powerful contours and newly designed rear. Engines offers power ranging from 177 bhp with 0-100 kph in 8.9 seconds to 335 bhp with 0-100 kph in 6.1 seconds. Each car boasts an uncompromising devotion to power and performance.
Special deal on 2003 Durango
Al Futtaim Automall is offering a limited stock of 2003 model, 245 bhp Dodge Durango 4x4s for Dhs72,000, a 27 per cent saving on the new list price. This 4x4 has a 5.9-litre, V8 Magnum engine, four-speed transmission, ABS, CD player, alloy wheels and manufacturers warranty.
Cayenne doubles Porsche sales
Porsche has more than doubled regional sales from 942 to 2,392 vehicles in the financial year to end of July thanks mainly to the sale of 1,972 Cayenne 4x4s launched in the Spring last year. The UAE was the top Porsche regional market with 1,014 vehicles sold with Saudi Arabia improving at 394.
New MR-V Honda 4x4
Honda has rolled out its new MR-V full-size 4x4 with eight seats and great performance on and off road, available in the UAE from Trading Enterprises. A 3.5-litre, VTEC V6, 24-valve engine delivers 240 bhp with variable torque management, ABS, dual airbags, CD and climate control as standard. There is a three-year unlimited warranty.
Chrysler 300C, five-star safety
The Chrysler 300C, which is set to enter the UAE market in November, has received a five-star rating for protection in a frontal crash, the highest rating in the US safety crash test programme. This rating means there is a 10 per cent or less chance of serious injury in a severe, 55 kph crash.
New Porsche Boxster Nov 27
Porsche has announced the launch date of the new Boxster and Boxster S, set for November 27. The new Boxster, with a 2.7 litre six-cylinder engine will now have 240 bhp, an increase of 12 bhp from the previous model. The new Boxster S will be launched simultaneously. The Boxster needs only 6.2 seconds to spurt from 0 to 100 kph, while the Boxster S does this in 5.5 seconds.
Honda Civic LXi Special Edition
UAE Honda distributor Trading Enterprises has unveiled the Civic LXi Special Edition, available with a 1.5 or 1.7-litre VTEC engine. Aside from the usual high level of equipment, the LXi has central locking, four speakers, rear spoiler and chrome exhaust finish.
Bentley Arnage, Mideast debut
The USD272,000 Bentley Arnage will be delivered to Middle East customers in the next few weeks. Only around 2,000 cars will be sold worldwide. Bentley is owned by Volkswagen and has a production run of 20 cars a month in Crewe but will only be building to order.
2005 Nissan Sunny shines brighter
Nissan has unvieled the upgraded appearance of its entry-level Sunny and the verdict on the Sunny EX 2005 is very positive. This compact saloon has an attractive new grill and spoiler. Also standard is a wood grain dashboard, chrome inside and keyless entry. Arabian Automobiles are UAE representatives.
2004 Discovery with cash back
UAE Land Rover agents Al Tayer Motors is offering Dhs10,000 cash back on the Dhs99,000 2004 Discovery. There is also a three year or 100,000km warranty and a three year or 60,000km free service contract, plus three years of 24-hour roadside assistance.

UAE Kia distributor Al Majid Motors has launched a pay next year promotion on its Optima, Sorrento 4x4 and Rio models. All Kia models now offer no down payment, 48 months to pay and a low interest rate subject to bank approval. There is also a trade in offer on cars in any condition.
Kia Opirus, pay next year
UAE Kia distributor Al Majid Motors is promoting a buy now, pay next year deal on the Opirus saloon. This Dhs74,000 vehicle also comes with a five year unlimited mileage warranty from the factory. Finance is available with no down payment, 48 installments and low interest rates.
Dubai's new digital road signs
Dubai is to have digital road signs giving motorists up-to-the-minute information on potential hazards ahead, reported Gulf News. This will be a first for the Middle East though the signs are familiar enough to UK and European drivers. The USD20m project should be completed by early next year and aims to reduce accident levels by 15 per cent, said officials.

UAE General Motors distributor Al Yousuf Motors is offering the sporty Chevrolet Lumina SS with a three year or 120,000km warranty, three years of free servicing and three per cent insurance. This 328 bhp sports car also boasts attractive styling and all the usual extras.
