Sales of Ford's Escape SUV rose 60 per cent in the first half of 2004, compared to the same period last year. Sales of SUVs helped Ford enjoy an overall 10 per cent sales growth in the Middle East in the first six months of 2004. DaimlerChrysler Middle East has introduced a special protection version of the popular new Dodge Durango, in response to growing demand for security in the region.
