Saudi Arabia has banned the tinting of car windows and given drivers a year to clear their windows, except for the rear passenger seat which can have only 70 per cent tinting, reported the SPA agency. The move is designed to prevent militants escaping detection on the Kingdom's roads.
Nissan has reported a 23 per cent jump in GCC sales in September. The company has expanded its product line-up considerably over the past year with the launch of the Altima 2.5-litre and 3.5-litre models and the latest 2005 edition of the Patrol 4x4.

The new Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class made its Middle East debut in Beirut last week, and will be in the region's showrooms by mid-November.
