QNB, car loan deal
Qatar National Bank has revamped its motor vehicle loan package for new and used cars with revised interest rates and varied repayment options. Loans do not require a salary transfer and no guarantor is required. Customers taking out loans until 28 February 2006 have the chance to win a Hummer H3.
Arab Bank car loans
Arab Bank is promoting car loans with a 3.69% flat interest rate per annum which require no down payment for employees with a monthly salary of $1633.33 and above. Repayment periods are up to 60 months, and loans come with free loan insurance and a pre-approved credit card free for the first year.
2006 Lexus LS430 flagship
Al-Futtaim Motors, sole distributors of Toyota, Lexus and Hino in the UAE, has released the 2006 Lexus LS430, the flagship vehicle of the prestigious Lexus line-up. GM sells 100,000 vehicles
General Motors has achieved a historic milestone in the Middle East, having surpassed 100,000 unit sales for 2005 at the end of November. GM has now enjoyed 25 consecutive months of record sales figures led by Chevrolet. Regional sales more than doubled in the past two years in an automotive market estimated at 855,000 per annum.
Chevy, unbeatable three offer
Chevrolet has launched its unbeatable three offer in the UAE on the Suburban, Tahoe and Trailblazer 4x4s while 2005 stocks last. The offer comprises: one year of fully comprehensive insurance, up to Dhs7,500 in fuel vouchers and free registration.
New shape for VW Passat
The Dubai Motor Show next week will be an opportunity to see the all-new VW Passat whose local agent is Al Nabooda. The latest Passat features a chrome front grille, climatronic filters, electronic handbrake, in-dash start ignition and a range of engines up to 250 bhp.
Ford GT star of Dubai Auto Show
The Ford Motor Company is to unveil its new Ford GT production version of the legendary sports car at the Dubai International Auto Show which runs December 12-16. The model will showcase Ford's heritage in performance engineering and will appear alongside the Ford Mustang GT, said a statement.
M-B turns up heat in Dubai
Mercedes-Benz says it will show the Maybach 57 S for the first time in the Middle East at the Dubai motor show. The 57 S is powered by an upgraded 6.0-litre V12 engine which turns out 612 bhp and propels the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds. Also showing is the R-Class Grand Sports Tourer and the 6.3-litre V8 AMG engine-powered Mercedes-Benz ML 63.
Deals on M-B S280
Emirates Motor Company, UAE Mercedes-Benz distributor for DaimlerChrysler, is promoting the 2005 Mercedes-Benz S280 with free insurance for the first year and three years unlimited warranty for $53,100. EMC has showrooms in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
2006 Prado available in UAE
Al Futtaim Motors is now selling the 2006 Toyota Prado from showrooms in the UAE. The 4X4 is powered by a 4.0-litre V6 VVT-i engine, and comes with a choice of a five-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission. The exterior features a front bumper protector with side steps and cladding panels incorporated into the body, providing the unique Prado appearance.
S 600 Guard, ultimate protection
Mercedes-Benz has introduced an special armour protected option for its S 600 luxury sedan. The S 600 Guard protects against military-grade small arms fire, hand grenade shrapnel and other explosive devices, according to a statement. Additional security features include tyres with run-flat properties, a self-sealing fuel tank, and an alarm system. The vehicle is powered by a 517 bhp 12-cylinder bi-turbo engine.
Renault Laguna in Dubai
Arabian Automobiles is now selling the Renault Laguna from its Dubai showrooms. The Laguna comes with a choice of the 2.0-litre or 2.0-litre turbo engine, has Bluetooth entry and ignition card, six airbags, Electronic Stability Programme, cruise control, ABS, EBD and EBA, and rear sensors. Sales have a three-year or 60,000 km warranty.
GM, Chevrolet KSA domination
Chevrolet and General Motors are dominating the medium and large SUV segments in Saudi. Nearly 6,000 TrailBlazers and Envoys have been sold so far in 2005, representing a quarter of the estimated 24,000-unit medium market. In the large-SUV segment, estimated at 31,000 units, over 16,000 Suburbans and Yukons have been sold.
2006 Toyota xA in town
Al-Futtaim Motors, agent for Toyota, Lexus and Hino in the UAE, has announced the introduction of the 2006 Toyota xA, the popular funky car. The 2006 Year Models have been further improvised with a newly designed speed meter, newly designed front and rear bumpers, front grille and front headlamps. Two new colours have also been introduced.
Dubai Motor Show sold-out
The 8th Middle East International Motor Show 2005 is sold-out with 500 firms taking part, said organisers Dubai World Trade Centre. The show will be held December 12-16 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre and cover 10 exhibition halls.
