Ferrari sets up in Dubai
- Luxury car company Ferrari has opened its regional office in Dubai's Airport Free Zone. The move reflects the rapid increase in sales of the manufacturer's latest models in the Gulf.

Licence plate auction tops $9m
- An auction organised by Dubai's Road and Transport Authority for 57 special registration plates has fetched over $9.8m. Plate number 50 G fetched the highest bid, going for $926,000. A similar auction in Abu Dhabi in February saw plate number 1 fetch over $14.2m.

EK Kanoo on 20 Lexus delivery
- Ebrahim K. Kanoo has supplied 20 luxury Lexus LS 460L's to the newly founded VIP chauffer company, Limousina, based in Bahrain. Limousina will utilise LS 460L's for their new VVIP service.

Nissan Middle East posts record sales
- Nissan Middle East has announced record sales for fiscal year 2007, with 184,000 units sold in the period, an increase of 34.4% over fiscal year 2006, the company said in a statement.

New BMW M3 to debut in May
- The new BMW M3 Sedan and Convertible will debut in the region in May, according to BMW Group Middle East. The car features a highly tuned 4.0-litre V8, the first for an M3, and produces 420 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque at 8,400rpm. The M3 propels from 0-100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds, up to an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.

Rolls Royce sales up in ME
- Sales of Rolls Royce cars increased by 50% in 2007 compared to 2006, according to Peter Schoppmann, regional director, Middle East, Rolls Royce Motor Cars. Overall, the car maker sold 1,110 units in 2007, an increase of 25% compared to the previous year. Sales in the the Middle East made up 15% of the comany's global sales in 2007, reported Times of Oman.

BMW X6 arrives in Dubai
- BMW's new sports activity coupe, the X6, has been launched in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. The X6 is the first vehicle in the world to offer Dynamic Performance Control to increase agility, stability and traction and can go from 0-100kph in 5.4 seconds. Following high pre-launch demand BMW expects the new model to become a best-seller.
