The all-new models of the Subaru Legacy 2010 and Subaru Outback 2010 have been launched in Kuwait by Mohammed Saleh and Reda Yousef Bahbehani Co. The new 2010 Subaru Outback delivers enhanced performance, comfort and economy with the introduction of all new chassis and the new Subaru Lineartronic CVT (continuously variable transmission). The Legacy line for 2010 will offer two level of performance; the Legacy 2.5i powered by a revised 167-horsepower 2.5 liter fou-Ücylinder Boxer engine, and the 2.5GT-S model which makes a leap in performance for 2010.
The Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association has reported a surge in car exports to the Middle East, the JoongAng Daily has reported. Korean carmakers exported 46,034 units to the Middle East last month, up 83.8% from a year earlier. In the July-September period, auto exports to the region had jumped 38% year-on-year to 106,132 units, KAMA said.

Carlos Ghosn, chief executive of Nissan Motor Co. has said that the US dollar's weakness against the Japanese yen may lead the carmaker to replace shipments of Japan-made cars to 'dollar countries' such as in the Middle East with cars manufactured in the United States, Reuters has reported. 'We are seriously considering shipping to [the Middle East and other dollar countries] from the United States,' he said.
Abu Dhabi Motors, the exclusive distributor of G-Power cars in the Middle East, has announced the arrival of the G-Power X5 Typhoon to the UAE. Based on the BMW X5, G-Power has increased the engine's output to 450bhp with 550Nm of torque, while the 4.8L V8 engine is coupled with a 6-speed automatic gearbox to reach a maximum speed of more than 260 km/h. Abu Dhabi Motors is now taking orders for G-Power cars and is ready to arrange a test drive for interested customers, Arno Husselmann, General Manager of Abu Dhabi Motors said.

Dubai-based Arabian Automobiles Company, the exclusive dealer for Nissan, Infiniti and Renault in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, has introduced the all-new 2010 Nissan Maxima sedan and 2010 Nissan 370Z Coupe. The first shipment of the new Q7 models was almost 100% sold in less than two months since its arrival, and 40% of the second shipment within days of its arrival in the capital, the company said.

UK-based luxury car maker, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, has unveiled its new model, the Ghost, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Ghost is built around a steel monocoque body, with no separation of chassis and body, resulting in reduction on exterior dimensions while preserving interior space, the company said. The Ghost is equipped with a new and unique to the model 6.6 litre twin-turbo V12 engine. The first Ghosts will be handed over to customers throughout the Middle East region by the end of December 2009.
Ford has said that it is including technology usually found in high end cars in new mid-range models coming out next year, as part of its efforts to attract customers. Like all car manufacturers, Ford has suffered a difficult 12 months due to the global economic slowdown. But as it starts to see a pick up in sales, it is using performance and safety technology, initially in its new all wheel drive Taurus saloon, which comes out in the first quarter of next year. That car will include radar based Blind Spot Information System (Blis), Cross Traffic Alert and Adaptive Cruise Control. The Taurus has radar sensors in each corner of the car, and these will alert the driver if there is a vehicle in their blind spot, as well as the ability to set the car's speed and distance from the vehicle in front.
Europe's biggest carmaker, Volkswagen AG will seek between €8bn and €10bn from its investors through the sale of new preferred shares, Euronews has reported. The funds will be used to complete the merger with Porsche and safeguard financial stability, VW said.

BMW Group Middle East has announced the arrival of the BMW X5 M and X6 M models. Both new models are powered by a newly developed M TwinPower Turbo V8 high-performance engine coupled with a six-speed sports automatic gearbox delivering 555bhp at an engine speed range between of 6,000 rpm, acceleration from 0-100km/h in 4.7 seconds, and a top speed electronically limited to 250km/h.
