11th Dubai Airshow displays growth
The 11th edition of the Dubai Airshow, November 2009, is set to be bigger in terms of exhibition space than the record breaking event in 2007. Alison Weller, Director, Fairs & Exhibitions, Aerospace previews the show with Phil Blizzard and also talks about the new Emirates exhibition hall.
Soaring growth of Dubai Airshow
The Dubai Airshow is rated as being the third largest in the world, despite being one of the youngest. Phil Blizzard talks to Alison Weller, Director, Fairs & Exhibitions, Aerospace, co-organiser along with the Government of Dubai, about the shows dynamic growth, especially in the previous three events, and also looks at the state of global aviation market.

GECAS agrees $320m finance deal for Flydubai
General Electric's aircraft financing and leasing business, GECAS, has agreed a deal with Flydubai to finance four Boeing 737-300 aircraft worth $320m, for delivery before year end. Kingfisher debut flights to Dubai from India

FlyDubai launches with Beirut and Amman
Seat prices on FlyDubai when it starts flying to Lebanon and Jordan will be from just Dhs250 each way, including taxes, as announced by HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, Chairman of FlyDubai. Phil Blizzard reports on the fledgling airline, which will commence flights on June 1st.

Emirates manoeuvres Airbus A380's flight plans
