Leading entrepreneurs and business leaders are heading for the UAE in May, for the first International Entrpreneurship Forum & Exhibition. Jessica Sutherland, General Manager, IIR Dubai, says the event will build on the success of last year's Leaders In Dubai.
Visitors to the Dubai Air Show 2005 are set to get the first glimpse of the new Airbus A380 super jumbo jets, as well as a host of other aircraft and aviation technology. Clive Richardson, Chief Executive, Aerospace Group, Fairs & Exhibitions says Dubai 2005 will have several specialist pavilions, including training and simulation and unmanned aerial vehicles.
Italian participation is the biggest at Big 5 2004, with more than 250 companies exhibiting. Mariateresa Malakos, Italy Office, dmg world media, says Italian marble is enjoying huge demand in the Gulf, with several multi-billion dollar construction projects underway.
With construction booming in the Middle East, the Big 5 expo now covers seven sectors, with Marble & Stone and Air Conditioning witnessing the biggest growth in exhibitors. Bob Hughes, Project Manager, dmg world media, says several multimillion dollar deals have already been signed at the event.
This December's Seatrade, the expo for the maritime industry, will be triple the size of last year's exhibition. Trade in China is driving strong growth in the industry, particuarly in container trade and energy transportation. Chris Hayman, Managing Director, Seatrade, says new sharia-compliant instruments for financing shipping will also be featured at the expo.
The rapid economic development in China is creating a huge new market for outbound tourism, as economically empowered Chinese seek to holiday overseas. To help international destinations reach these potential customers, a major tourism expo - the Beijing International Travel and Tourism Market - is being held in January 2005. It's hoped that many Middle Eastern tourism operators will exhibit.
